Princess Alice Express — Our Offshore Catamaran
Built in the United Kingdom by Cheetah Marine, the Princess Alice Express is our 12-metre offshore power catamaran — the primary vessel for all expeditions to Princess Alice Bank.
At 12 metres long and 5.50 metres wide, she offers generous deck space for guests and equipment, even with a full complement aboard. Powered by two Honda BF350 V8 outboards producing a combined 700 HP, she combines the speed of a large offshore RIB with the stability and comfort needed for a 100-kilometre Atlantic crossing.
Our Offshore Vanguard RIB
Our fleet includes a second offshore vessel: a brand-new 2026 10-metre Vanguard Power RIB powered by a Honda BF350 V8 (350 HP). The Vanguard provides operational backup and is available for private charters and special requests — including private Princess Alice expeditions.
Both vessels carry full offshore navigation, communication and safety equipment. Our skippers hold the appropriate Portuguese maritime qualifications for offshore operations to Princess Alice Bank.
Our Catamaran – Reefcat
Reefcat is our catamaran, operating from Madalena harbour during the summer months. With plenty of space on board, she is the vessel for our snorkeling excursions to the Ilhéus da Madalena and for our relaxed Sunset Trip along the coast, with views across to Faial.
At the Ilhéus, Reefcat anchors close to the volcanic rock formations, and you enter the water together with your snorkeling guide. On board we serve water and fresh fruit on snorkeling trips, and beer, soft drinks and snacks on the Sunset Trip.
